pico-wepcrack

pico-wepcrack is actually included with jc-wepcrack. Pico-wepcrack is the name given to the hardware accelerated jc-wepcrack client that can offload the key cracking to an FPGA. In particular, it knows how to interface with cards from pico computing . If you are interested in hardware acclerated crypto cracking, be sure to head on over to open-ciphers .

Currently pico-wepcrack is the only hardware accelerated piece of airbase. I would like to see the hardware accleration moved into libairware, thereby accelerating all of airbase at the same time. I would also like to see cards other than pico's supported.

Also, here are some numbers for performance comparison. These numbers may be prone to change as me and h1kari work on optimizing things differently.

If you're curious, that means you can crack a 40-bit WEP key in 33 hours, worse case.
(2^40 keys / 9,000,000 keys/sec) = 122167 secs = 2036 mins = 33 hours)
